December 27, 2013 - Georgian Art and Culture Center hosted the meeting with crafts producers, the authors of the production presented by GACC at International Gift Fair L`ARTIGIANO IN FIERA, in Milan, Italy, November 30- December 8, 2013. Based on the experience and analysis the discussions covered such topics of Traditional Crafts Export as - modern trends, quality requirements, transportation issues, import/export regulations, the display design, organization of sales, etc. Follow us on facebook

December 23, 2013 -The World Bank Office hosted a meeting - presentation of the completed Conservation Plan and discussions on ongoing and future architectural rehabilitation works carried out at Telavi Batonistsikhe Complex.The Telavi Batonistsikhe Complex Conservation Plan  was commissioned by National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia and implemented by GACC.See Press Release andfollow on Facebook

 

November 30- December 9, 2013 The 1st prize winner Artisan and the selected production of the Contest "The Best Heritage Crafts from South Caucasus" from each South Caucasus country will be presented at the International Gift Fair Artigiano in Fiera. in Milan, Italy.

 

November 1, 2013 – U.S. Embassy organized the presentation of the three year project "Architectural Rehabilitation of the Church of the Virgin at Gelati Monastery". The project is financed by U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation Large Grant Program. It is Implemented by Georgian Arts and Culture Center in partnership with "Georgian Haritage" and Restoration Faculty at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. September 26-28, 2013 - International Conference -`Notion of Culture as a Force for Economic Growth, New Approach for South Caucasus`, Radisson Blue Iveria, (Tbilisi, Georgia). Project is funded by European Union in the framework of Eastern Partnership Culture Programme's "Strengthening Creative Industries in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia: Heritage Crafts – Common Platform for Development"


August 21, 2013 - GACC organized the presentation of the project "Elaboration of Conservation Plan for Fortress "Batonis Tsikhe" (fortress of master). the project is financed by the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia.

July, 2013 - The winners of the 1st tour of the Contest "The Best heritage Crafts From South Caucasus" have been revealed. The Final of the Contest will take place on September 26-28, 2013 in Tbilisi. See detailed information and gallery on Facebook

 

 

May 1, 2013 - The US Ambassador in Georgia H.E. Richard Norland, 1st Deputy Minister of Culture and Heritage Protection Mrs. Marine Mizandari and Director of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Protection Mr. Merab Bochoidze visited Gelaty Monastery to check the ongoing works conducted in frames of GACC project  "Conservation of the Frescos of St. Marine Chapel and Southern Porch at the Church of the Virgin in Gelati Monastery". The project is funded by U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation.

March 23, 2013 - The project "Conservation of the Frescos of St. Marine Chapel and Southern Porch at the Church of the Virgin in Gelati Monastery" was recommenced. The project team visitied site for the elaboration of methodology for upcoming works. The project is funded by U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation. see more
