October 18-25, 2014. Representatives of 6 Georgian regional museums participated in the study visit to Poland. The topic of tour was "Volunteering and Educational Programmes in Museums". It was organised in the frames of "Get in Culture - Georgian Polish Cooperation".

 

October 23, 2014 - The onsite session in Gelati Monastery been held to introduce to the society and stakeholders ongoing project “Architectural Rehabilitation of the Church of the Virgin at Gelati Monastery 2013-2016” funded by the  US Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation and National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation At the event also was announced the launch of the project “Diagnostic study and Conservation of the Mural Painting of the Dome of the Church of the Virgin at Gelati monastery” funded by the US Embassy in Georgia

October 7-9, 2014. The training for the finalists of the Small Grants Programme in preparation of business plan and full application form have been conducted in the frames of project “Crafts platform in Action  –  Enhancing Sector’s Economic Capacity for Georgia”

 

September 23, 2014 The opening of the exhibition“Historical Stage Costumes” took place at Kote Marjanishvili State Drama Theatre. The exhibition have been held in the frames of Tbilisi International Festival of Theater and supported by the Tbilisi Center of Cultural Events and the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia. The consultation meeting of the small grants programme "Development of Traditional Crafts in the Regions of Georgia and Enhancement of Sector's Economic Viability" will be held in the regions of Georgia.

July 1, 2014. Presentation of GACC new project “Crafts platform in Action  –  Enhancing Sector’s Economic Capacity for Georgia”  at the Wine Factory #1. The project is funded through the EU Investing in People programmes. Project partners are Center for Strategic research and Development of Georgia, Ministry of Culture and Monuments protection of Georgia, Economic Affairs office of Tbilisi City hall, British Council Georgia. May 30, 2014 - Mr. James B Dewey, Attaché of Cultural Affairs of US Embassy, Mr. Nikoloz Antidze, Director of the National Agency of Cultural Heritage Preservation, representatives of the local government ad project team visited Dadiani Palaces Historical and Architectural Museum to overview ongoing works of the project "Elaboration of Architectural Plan for the Rehabilitation of Ekaterine's Palace", funded by the US Embassy in Georgia

 

May 2, 2014 - In the framework of Georgian Arts and Culture Centre`s ongoing project “ARCHITECTURAL REHABILITATION OF THE CHURCH OF THE VIRGIN (12th-18th c) in Gelati Monastery” the monitoring mission represented by Mr. Martin Perschler, the Program Coordinator of the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) at the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and Mrs. Lola Petrova, US Embassy’s Public Affairs Officer visited onsite works. GACC hosted the 1st meeting of the Partners of the project ”Crafts platform in Action – Enhancing Sector’s Economic Capacity for Georgia”. The project is funded by the European Union. The leading partner of the project is Geogian Arts and Culture Center. Project partners: Economic Affairs Office of Tbilisi City Hall, The Center for Startegic Research and Development of Georgia; Associate Partners: The Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia, British Council. March 12, 2014.
Telavi Historical Museum hosted the presentation of the Conservation Plan for the Museum elaborated in the frames of GACC project implemented by the financial support of Municipal Development Fund. The Conservation plan consists of multidisciplinary studies and recommendation for the further rehabilitation and development of the museum. see more on the facebook

February 27, 2014 – Georgian arts and Culture Center  hold the closing and wrap-up meeting of the European Union Eastern Partnership Culture Programme's Project "HERITAGE CRAFTS - COMMON PLATFORM FOR DEVELOPMENT - Strengthening Creative Industries in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan" at Conference Hall of National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.
