Europe is renowned worldwide for its rich cultural heritage, including intangible cultural heritage (ICH) – the living traditions, customs, knowledge, and skills that European citizens inherit and pass on. The significance of ICH was formally recognized with the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Cultural heritage not only fosters national pride and a sense of belonging but also plays a crucial role in the sustainable development of diverse European regions, from remote rural areas to bustling urban centers.

This project aimed to facilitate the exchange of methodologies, approaches, and best practices among participating organizations and countries. It involved seven short-term joint staff training events held across all partner countries. These events offered diverse programs designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the ICH landscape in each country.

The project's primary outputs include:

  1. A Summary of Methodologies and Approaches: This document compiles the various methods and approaches employed by partner organizations to work with their target groups.
  2. A Joint Good Practice Examples Booklet: This booklet showcases exemplary practices in the field of ICH, highlighting successful initiatives from across the participating countries.
